Nikki Rutz began her college years working towards a science degree. She never considered the arts as a viable career until she took a beginning art class in order to fulfill a humanities credit. Nikki considers her love of art a journey full of mystery, wonderment and great satisfaction, mixed with frustration and hard work! She began her exploraton in Hawaii where her foundation in art was firmly established with her first instructor, Snowden Hodges. He sparked in her a love for Classical Realism and encouraged her to study in Europe, which she did by attending an atelier in Florence, Italy. The time there further fueled her love of Classical Realism. Following her studies in Italy, Nikki and her family relocated to Maryland. They close to live in Maryland so Nikki could continue her studies by attending the Schuler School of Fine Arts in Baltimore.

Nikki currently has work in private and corporate collections in several states, including Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, New Mexico, and Oregon. She hopes you will join her on her journey and her continuing study of the fine arts.
